How fast is Airzëd?
Depending on the locations, Airzëd's network caters up to 1Mbps. The connection speed is up to 50 times the speed of dial-up.
 
What is the basic technology of Airzëd's network?
Airzëd leverages on the radio communication between laptops and access points over 802.11b standard. It is also known as Wi-Fi. A broadband connection can be transmitted wirelessly over 802.11b's 2.4GHz frequency that uses the access points. With the access points fitted at the hotspot any device that is outfitted to receive the 802.11b frequency, such as laptop or PDA with wireless network card will be able to access the Internet.

The access point coverage range is normally from 300 feet depending on location layout, type of building materials, partitions or wall enclosure, the access points and antennas fitted at the particular hotspot location.
 
What do I need to get started?
To enjoy wireless broadband access at Airzëd's hotspot:  
  i. A mobile computing device, the most common being a notebook or PDA
  ii. A wireless LAN card if your device is not already wireless LAN enabled
  iii. And a subscription to Airzëd's access plan
 
To get started with the service, just follow four simple steps below:
 
  i. Install your wireless LAN card
  ii. Configure your wireless LAN card driver software
  iii. Set up your Network configuration
  iv. Register for an airzëd's access plan
 
Which browsers am I able to use with Airzëd?
Airzëd will work best with MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or later or Netscape 4.0 or later. However, other browsers that support SSL such as Safari, Mozilla, and Net Front version 3.62 are also compatible with Airzëd.  
Which operating systems are currently supported for use with Airzëd?
Airzëd currently supports the following Operating System:  
  i. Windows 98SE
  ii. Windows 2000
  iii. Windows ME
  iv. Windows XP
  v. Pocket PC 2002 and 2003
  vi. MAC OS 9 and above
  vii. Linux
  viii. Palm OS
  ix. Symbion OS
 
I can see Airzëd's login screen but unable to get connected to the Internet?  
Ensure that your signal strength indicator at the bottom of the system is getting at least Good to Excellent signal in order to gain Internet connectivity.  
 
What do I do if I forget my password?  
Click here to retrieve your password. An email containing your username and password will be mailed to your current email account. Alternatively, you can call our Customer Service help desk at +60.3.7620.2020.  
 
Why do I experience slow access at certain times?  
Aside from access speed, other contributing factors which affect the data throughput speed are:  
  i. Your mobile computing device may not have enough random access memory (RAM) or cache memory to support the load of the website content
  ii. The web server's capacity & type of connections (i.e. how fast the web server machine sends out web pages)
  iii. The web server load (i.e. how many people are accessing the web server at the same time)
  iv. The link connection speed between the web server and the Internet (i.e. web server could be connected to the Internet via a small bandwidth link)
  v. Irregular Internet traffic
  vi. Electromagnetic interference from other devices (e.g. microwave oven, cordless phone, etc.)
 
 
Does Airzëd provide email accounts?  
Currently Airzëd does NOT provide personal email accounts.

Can I access my work place's email?  
Yes, if you are able to access your company's email using Outlook, Netscape Mail or other email software. However, if it is your first attempt to do so, it will be necessary to modify your SMTP server or Outgoing Mail Server to your office mailbox configurations.
